BRINGING BACK T H E G O O D F I R E
Bringing Back the Good Fire is a project spearheaded by Indigenous ethnobotanist Gerry Turpin. Held on Mbarbaram Country for the Mbarbaram junior rangers, the camp focuses on empowering youth. Underpinned by cultural development, Gerry combines ancient knowledge with scientific insights, using youth development as an agent for change. He plays the crucial role of an educator, leader and cultural practitioner. His works can be found at the JCU Herbarium, Cairns.
